"One Life Beautiful"

"One Life Beautiful" is a real-time audiovisual installation, produced for a work of music of the same name by Julie Giroux, commissioned by Cal Poly-SLO Wind Ensemble. Following the intention of the work to serve as both a personal memorial and a reflection of the fleeting beauty of life, the piece is a live audioreactive composition of a flower blooming and receding that breathes through the ensemble's sound. Audio spectral analysis determines color, particle velocity, particle dissolve intensity, bloom, turbulence etc.

Role: Produced for Cal Poly-SLO Music Department. Utilized conductor's and musicians' interpretation of the work for inspiration on ideation. Self-produced from initial sketches to execution. Performed live on March 9, 2025.
